DFWLanParty Requirements - Next LAN - 01.26.02

2. Client for Microsoft Networks installed - We use DHCP for IP addressing, so make sure you have TCP/IP Installed and set to the Microsoft defaults.

3. Games! - You need to be bringing your purchased copies of games. Support your favorite game developer and BUY the game!

4. Q3Arena (as described above) needs what ever the latest/current patch release is (we will have it available on the file server if you need it).

5. Please turn off all Proxy (eg. WinGate, Sygate, WinProxy) or DHCP software (anything that might hand out IP addresses) before connecting to our LAN. If unsure ASK, because it can bring the network down BIG time!

6. There is no minimum system requirement at this time, However we do suggest no less then a Pentium II 300Mhz with at least a Voodoo 2 or comparable hardware (with the latest dirvers) :). Several players will have just that system and should be ok. Remember more people more lag.

7. The Biggest Rule is "Dont bring alcohol". People under the drinking age are allowed to register. Make sure you are cool with that, because we have the right to ask you to leave, and we have no reservation about doing it. One person will NOT ruin the party for everyone else. Period. This rule obviously applies to DRUGS too. DUH!

8. Children are wonderful things, but if they attend with you they may not be left unsupervised or without something to do. DFWLanParty is not a babysitter service.

9. Public viewing of Pornography is no longer allowed. There is plenty of time to watch it when you get home. You can trade it, but keep keep it off the screen at the lan. There are many attenders who are under age. Enough said. Contact Sharaz or other another staff member if you have questions.
